Oliver Schmidt-Rybandt vince nella divisione barche a chiglia piccola con il Dehler 30 one design
È stata una gara testa a testa tra i velisti del Dehler 30 one design Max Gurgel e Oliver Schmidt-Rybandt alla Silverrudder di quest'anno. Alla fine, Oliver su “Power Play” ha deciso la gara a suo favore con un tempo record di 18 ore, 32 minuti e 58 secondi. Tra un totale di sette Dehler 30 one design, ha così vinto la classe delle unità 30od e la divisione “Keel boats Small”. Esausto, bagnato e felicissimo, ha tagliato il traguardo a Svendborg, in Danimarca, la mattina presto del 18 settembre, dopo quasi 134 miglia nautiche. Ha così scalzato dal podio il precedente detentore del record, che nel 2015 aveva coperto la distanza in circa 20 ore.
The non-stop Single Handed Regatta around Funen, Denmark, is considered one of the toughest sailing regattas in the world. Every year, ambitious solo sailors compete in this demanding challenge. The Keel boats Small category this year included 83 sailors with a variety of yachts, including several Seascape 27, X79 and Beneteau First sailboats. In the Dehler 30 one design class, Max Gurgel and Oliver Schmidt-Rybandt were joined by Hajo Hensel on Tutto Bene (GER 023) Anders Jönnsen on No Xcuse (SWE 041), Oliver Denzer on Tschaika (GER 032), Andreas Deubel on Antonio Jorge Aguiar (GER 022) and Martin Kringel on Plug and Play (GER 045).
We congratulate Oliver for his record-breaking win and pay our respect to all solo sailors who mastered the challenge this year.
